ParaMind Brainstorming Software of Seattle, a nineteen year old
software company, announced its Windows 64 Bit Version today.
The Windows 64 Bit operating system has caused some smaller
software companies problems, as they've needed to reformulate
their code and create new versions. One company has gotten ahead
of the curve by using a method that allows a single software program
to be used on Windows, Mac and Linux machines, and now even
Windows 64 Bit ones.
The brainstorming software version for Windows 64 Bit machines has actually been used by select customers for some time, but the company did not formally release information on its website about the product until today.
Robert Pearson, found of the company and designer of the unique
brainstorming system recently said, "We wanted to make sure that enough people could use the 64 Bit Version without any problems. The program is what's called a Java console application. These programs are able to be used on Windows, Mac, and Linux machines, and it turns out, Windows 64 Bit machines. Our usual Windows versions are built in a different way, and they were
not able to be used on 64 Bit machines. This is the same version that has
been sold for Mac and Linux for some time now. "
Windows 64 Bit systems are not the most popular operating system, but recent
Windows 7 users who buy top of the line computers sometimes opt for it. Such users
were purchasing the ParaMind brainstorming system that uses "generative" techniques instead of flow charts and "mind maps" like other brainstorming programs.
ParaMind Software has had a solution for the 64 Bit operating system problem that other developers have been going through for some time. Pearson says,
"The Java console version of ParaMind is more powerful than the standard Windows version, so Windows 64 Bit users will be getting a bargain. And, of course, regular Windows users can use it and will have a product that will be able to be transported to a 64 Bit machines if they decide to upgrade."
The companies products has been mentioned it various books for its innovative ideas
in problem solving and innovation. It released the first brainstorming program for Microsoft Windows in 1992.
